For EKKA BAND
Marching gear required,
includes lyres, hats, enclosed shoes, sunscreen and, water.
NB: anyone wanting
equipment transported to the EKKA, it must be in the Band trailer at
the end of this session OR, the Thursday evening session.
It will then be available at EKKA gate Four
at 0930AM on the Saturday

All members need to be assembled either
inside or outside gate four (EKKA Map ref P3) at 0930 to unload the
trailer.
Gate four -
from inside: from "Stockmans' Rest" (EKKA
Map Ref N5) , go up the hill towards O'Conner Tce.
from outside: O'Conner Tce. near
Brooke's St.
From Gate four, all members move to
Stockmans' Rest (Map Ref N5)
10:AM - Warm-up tune-up for first
performance
1200 - Warm-up tune-up for 2nd
performance
1300 - load all unwanted equipment into
the trailer followed by end of Band time.
Monday 20/8/18, from 3:30pm -
Trailer will be at the band room for retrieval of your gear.
Notes:
Free entry passes will be handed
out to "performers" at the up-coming rehearsals. They are useable at
the normal entry gates (i.e. not at the Industrial loading gates) .
They are also usable from the EKKA Train Station for those
travelling by train.
NB!!!!!! - the pass only works once. If
you need to go outside the EKKA e.g., to put stuff in the trailer,
you will not get back inside unless you first get a "pass-out" wrist
band. You will have time to get one between performances.
Band Hats, sunscreen and, water
will be required
Unwanted gear, personal
possessions may be left at the store room at "Stockmans' Rest" Only
necessary items for the performance will be carried during the
performance. The performance route is anticlockwise from Stockmans'
Rest to Map Ref Q14, then turn around and return clockwise back to
the start point. Thus both left and right wheels will be required.
If travelling by train, this will
need to be co-ordinated so that we all arrive at the train station
in time to then get to the inside of gate four by 0930AM
If there are any problems with
music, uniform, instrument and/ or lyres and carriers (if any) or
what ever; it needs to be fixed before we get to the EKKA. If you
have a problem, mention it before the next rehearsal of send an email.
